Colorado Preps debuted a new Basketball Scoreboard Show on Friday featuring scores and interviews from all classes and corners of Colorado.   In our first program, we spoke with 11 coaches across the state and audio from those interviews is available on-demand below.  The Coaches Hotline is presented by NAPA Auto Parts and their retail locations throughout Colorado.

 

BRIGGSDALE BOYS – Clint Fiscus

The 4th rated Falcons earned a hard fought road win over #10 Peetz inside the 1A North Central

 

ROCKY FORD GIRLS – Mark Henson

In a battle of second ranked teams, Rocky Ford came out on top over Sangre De Cristo 40-22.  Both teams entered the game unbeaten with the Meloneers boosting their mark to 9-0.

 

LIMON GIRLS – Bart O’Dwyer

The 4th ranked Badgers picked up a very important conference win over #8 Genoa Hugo (1A) on Friday as it gives them the inside track to the Union Pacific championship.

 

LONGMONT BOYS – Jeff Kloster

With a strong fourth quarter, the Trojans moved to 9-3 on the season by beating in-city rival Silver Creek.  The victory also kept the Trojans unbeaten in the 4A Northern conference.

 

MANCOS BOYS – Elijah Knepper

Ranked 8th in Class 2A, the Bluejays opened the January schedule with a solid 61-47 win over Center.

 

MONTEZUMA CORTEZ BOYS – Michael Hall

The Panthers earned a nice 61-45 win over Durango on day one of the Southwest Classic.  Next up, they face another local rival in Ignacio on Saturday.

 

RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN BOYS – Bruce Dick

The Cougars are ranked number one in Class 3A and should stay there thanks to a Friday night win over Colorado Academy.  We also talked with the coach about their win the previous Saturday over then #1 Lutheran.

 

COAL RIDGE BOYS – Paul Harvey

It was a very good start to January for the Titans as they rolled 2A #6 Vail Christian Thursday night.  On deck for the Titans are two conference games with Basalt and Gunnison next week.

 

AIR ACADEMY GIRLS – Phil Roiko

The Pikes Peak chase is a good one this year and the 6th ranked Kadets opened the run with a nice decision over Palmer Ridge 53-38.  After meeting Falcon on Monday, Air Academy then focuses on #5 Sand Creek.

 

CHERRY CREEK GIRLS – Clint Evans

The defending state champions are ranked number one in Class 5A this week and they rallied to score an impressive road win over #4 Highlands Ranch.

 

GRANDVIEW BOYS – Michael Rogers

Coming off a difficult two-overtime loss to Smoky Hill on Wednesday, the Wolves regrouped and used a fast start to down Arapahoe.  The win evened their Centennial mark to 1-1 in a league that features five top 10 clubs.
