One of the most important aspects of winning a state wrestling championship is the number of the wrestlers a team has competing. With that in mind, we list the top teams by number of competitors in each of the four classifications. Our list includes all teams that will have a wrestler competing in at least half of the weight classes (7).
Defending 2A state champion Rocky Ford is the only club in any class to have a wrestler competing in all 14 weight divisions. Wray is next with 13 wrestlers while Eaton, Lamar, Pueblo West, Windsor and Brighton are all sending 12 wrestlers to the state tournament.
First round matches for Classes 2A and 3A open the state event on Thursday at 3:00pm with Classes 4A and 5A seeing their opening action that night at 7:15pm.
