It’s a very important night across the Top 10 volleyball ranks as a few teams can clinch or at least move very close to league championships.
A good share of the focus is on Class 3A where #1 Lutheran battles #7 Faith Christian with the winner taking over the top spot in the Metro. The winner should also land the championship. #3 Alamosa can also wrap up a second straight IML title by beating Centauri. #9 Platte Valley and #10 University play to stay in third place behind Sterling and Eaton in the Patriot.
In Class 1A, #5 Fleming and #7 Prairie battle inside a tight North Central race. The Wildcats are tied with Briggsdale in first with the Mustangs one game back. Fleming and Briggsdale also face off later in the week. The winner between #8 Mile High Academy and Belleview Christian is alone in first in the 5280 and #10 Springfield clinches the Ark Valley crown with a win at nearby Walsh.
Up in 4A, #8 Montrose and Fruita Monument share first place with Durango inside the Southwestern. And in 5A, #8 Grandview must beat Arapahoe to keep a piece of the Centennial crown as they’re tied with Eaglecrest and Cherokee Trail.
In Class 2A, #4 Fowler and #10 Dolores need road wins to maintain their hold on their respective league chases. The Grizzlies are tied with Swink atop the Santa Fe while the Bears have first place to themselves in the San Juan.
