New volleyball rankings have been published by CHSAA and they include many changes across the boarfd.  La Veta (1A), Denver Christian (2A), Lutheran (3A) and Cherokee Trail (5A) all kept number one spots in their respective class but Mead jumps to the top spot in Class 4A this week.
It’s the first time in many years that Lewis Palmer or Cheyenne Mountain has not held down the top spot in that division.  The Rangers and Indians have combined to win the last 12 state titles in that division.
Another rare situation involves Yuma as the Indians are not included in the 2A rankings this week.  They’ve played for the state championship each of the past five years.  Broomfield also makes a rare appearance in Class 5A after winning the Cherry Creek tournament over the weekend.
Prairie made a huge jump in Class 1A, bumped from seventh all the way to second this week after winning the Brush Tournament and beating Briggsdale in league play.
