With the new RPI standings for Classes 2A and 3A released this morning, we can again take a weekly look at how the regional tournament brackets may shape up. The top 36 teams in each class automatically advance to the regional round and are placed in pre-determined pairing based on rankings from RPI. Teams seeded in the lowest 12 spots could be moved for geographical purposes.
The top 12 teams in the RPI host the three-team events with the eventual champion advancing to the state tournament in Denver. The state event has also shifted away from a pool format to a double-elimination tournament through the semifinals where the event then turns to single elimination.
Below are potential brackets based on standings from September 30th. We do not move teams so this is a true seed based on RPI.
