The Continental conference race heats up quite a bit tonight as Chaparral meets Mountain Vista. Both clubs are unbeaten and they’re also ranked 1-2 in Class 5A so their matchup is the highlight of the Tuesday Top 10 schedule.
That game is one of four top 10 pairings on the night as Cherry Creek is challenged by Eaglecrest, Limon meets Stratton/Liberty and Alamosa takes on Hoehne. Creek is ranked fourth in the big school ranks with the Raptors 10th this week. The Moose are ranked 8th in Class 3A with the Farmers at number nine in Class 2A. Limon sits second in Class 2A with Stratton/Liberty moving to ninth in Class 1A following a big win over Otis last week.
Eaton is the highest ranked team in Class 3A and the Reds make their season debut against Brush this evening. Colorado Springs Christian is another highly ranked team in the division (4th) that gets on the court for the first time tonight as the Lions host James Irwin.
Also, in the smaller school ranks, we get the latest edition of the rivalry in the Northeast between #1 Wiggins against Weldon Valley. Combined those two schools are 8-1 on the season with the Tigers suffering the lone loss last Saturday against #1 Fleming (1A). That loss was in five sets and came in the finals of the Kit Carson tournament.
