Boys Top 10

Should be a fun night of action inside the boys’ basketball top 10 as the schedule includes a #1 vs #2 battle in 5A and three top 10 pairings inside Class 3A.  In each case, every team has a share of first place in their respective conference.

#1 Mountain Vista (11-0) puts their unbeaten mark on the line against Continental rival #2 Chaparral (12-2).  Both clubs won conference openers last week so they’re part of a five-way tie atop the early standings.

Separation time inside the 3A Metro where the four leaders battle head-to-head.  #2 Manual, #3 Kent Denver, #5 Lutheran and #7 Faith Christian are all 2-0 in league play and winners tonight will share the top spot.  Manual has been the most impressive thus far scoring at least 90 points in back-to-back league wins over Colorado Academy and Jefferson Academy.  Kent Denver is unbeaten on the season overall.

Another first-place battle in 3A pits #1 Sterling at #9 Resurrection Christian.  Both teams are 2-0 in the Patriot and the winner will have the outright lead just three games in.  All remaining teams have at least one conference loss.

In Class 4A, the Northern league is on the line as #2 Longmont tangles with #10 Centaurus.  It’s the first of two league meetings and both teams are unbeaten in conference play going in.

In Class 2A, #3 Highland and Dayspring Christian are both 2-0 in conference play.  Three other teams are unbeaten in league play as well including #8 Denver Christian.
