TOP MATCHUPS FOR WEEK 4

Two state championship rematches headline a very good schedule for week four of the football season.  Friday night, #1 Valor Christian heads to #2 Pomona and then on Saturday afternoon, #1 Kent Denver welcomes in #3 La Junta.  Valor has beaten Pomona each of the last two years in the 5A state championship game while La Junta topped Kent Denver in the 2A state finals and during the regular season a year ago.

Two league championships could also be on the line in six man where Kit Carson heads to Cheyenne Wells in the Southeast division and Hanover and Genoa Hugo collide in the East Central.  A similar situation is found in 8man where Norwood and Sargent face off in a big game to open the Southern Peaks slate.

Other heavyweight games include Grandview-Cherry Creek, Loveland-Fort Collins, Windsor-Greeley West, Mead-Longmont, Durango-Bayfield, Sterling-Eaton, Bennett-Burlington, Strasburg-Limon, and Hoehne-Dayspring Christian.

All games listed below are set for Friday night unless otherwise indicated.  Our writers, Neil Devlin, Paul Willis, Nick Jurney, and Kerry Sherman will look at all the matchups and more throughout the week with our classification reports.  Class 5A and 4A will be released each Tuesday, Class 3A and 2A on Wednesday and then 1A, 8man and 6man are published each Thursday.
